A little over three years ago my brother and I published on these pages a brief note suggesting that the when the Webb Space Telescope started looking into the depths of the universe it would find galaxies that were older than would be predicted by the Big Bang Theory Big Bang of Little Poof, July 27, 2022. The findings are coming in just as we predicted, https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ogbl#inbox?projector=1.
I can only speak for myself now since my brother passed away nearly three years ago. I believe it’s time for astrophysicists to give up on the fatuous Big Bang “Standard Model” and start looking for something more parsimonious. As we suggested in, A Simple Question (Accidently renamed in the journal The Big Bang, Dark Matter, Dark Energy and Light), there is far too much in the Big Bang that doesn’t pass the smell test. In particular the “inflation Period” that somehow put us arriving here before the light from the Big Bang. Like we said at the time it’s a little like the old cartoon depicting a scientist at a huge blackboard covered in complex equations and at the bottom right it says, “And then a miracle occurred’ followed by an = sign.
Let’s go folks, start working on a new model. The shoe doesn’t fit and it’s starting to hurt.
